Senior (2016) | Match-By-Match Statistics
Laura Beach recorded another
exceptional season in 2016 • She became the fourth Cowgirl to earn
All-MW honors at least three times, as she was selected for the
third-consecutive season • Beach led the
team with 295 kills (2.68 kps) and a .399 hitting percentage • She started in all 31 matches for the
Cowgirls during her senior season and closed out her career with 109
consecutive starts • Her hitting
percentage led the MW and was 14th in the NCAA •
It was also the fourth-best in Wyoming single-season history • To begin the season, she was named to the
all-tournament team of the UniWyo Invite for the second-straight season • Beach was second on the team with 120 total
blocks and averaged 1.09 blocks per set throughout the season • In conference play, she hit a MW-best .404,
averaged 1.15 blocks per set and added 2.85 kills per set • She recorded double-digit kills in 15
different matches during the season • She also
recorded her first double-double at San Diego State (11/12) with 13 kills and
ten total blocks • Beach completed her career as the all-time leader in
hitting percentage (.372), fifth with 438 total blocks and 12th with 982 kills • Additionally, Beach was awarded the 2016 Mike
English Scholarship, which is given annually to the senior with the highest
cumulative grade-point average • She was
also named to the 2016 College Sports
Information Directors of America (CoSida) Academic All-District team that was
announced in early November • She followed that selection by being named a
CoSIDA Academic All-American Third Team member •
In the history of Wyoming volleyball, she is just the third Academic
All-American and first since JennaRae Jester in 2010, who earned second team
recognition • She also received an AVCA
All-Pacific Region honorable mention nod to close out her career with the Brown
and Gold • Along with Courtney Chacon and Kayla
Slofkiss, Beach won 85 matches as
Cowgirls • The 85 victories are third all-time as a class • Lastly, was again an Academic All-MW selection.
Junior (2015) | Match-By-Match Statistics
Beach started in all 30 matches during her junior season, playing in 116 sets • Earned All-MW honors for the second time in her career • Led Wyoming in kills in eight matches, and in hitting percentage six times • Had 11 matches with double-figures kills and ended the season with 273 kills, 110 blocks, 48 digs and 20 assists • Third on the team with 2.35 kills per set and second on the team with 1.10 blocks per set • Selected to the Rumble in the Rockies, Gonzaga Invite, UniWyo Pistol Pete’s Showdown and the Wyoming Invite All-Tournament teams • Named the MVP of the Wyoming Invite • After hitting .337 this season, she ended her junior campaign as the all-time leader in hitting percentage • Currently sits with a .360 hitting percentage for her career • Made her junior season debut against Ohio State (8/28/15), posting nine kills and seven blocks • Recorded a career-high 17 kills against Utah (9/5/15), in addition to five blocks • Made her MW season debut against Boise State (9/24/15), logging eight kills and a season-high eight blocks • Tallied six kills on a career-high .750 hitting percentage against Air Force (10/8/15) • Had 12 kills and five blocks against New Mexico (10/10/15), and 13 kills and five blocks at Utah State (10/22/15) • At New Mexico (11/5/15), had 10 kills behind a .318 hitting clip, and posted a .312 hitting percentage with 13 kills at Air Force (11/7/15) • Recorded four blocks, 11 kills and hit .500 at Fresno State (11/18/15) • An Academic All-MW and Scholar Athlete selection.

An All-Mountain West selection for the first time in her career in 2014 • Started in all 31 matches and 116 sets during the year • Second on the team in kills (2.64 kps), blocks (1.06 bps) and hitting percentage (.406, 306-65-593) on the year • In league matches, she was second in hitting percentage (.355, 186-45-397), kills (2.66 kps) and blocks (1.14 bps) • Ranked second in hitting percentage in the Mountain West overall, third in league matches and 13th nationally • Had a career-high 17 kills while hitting .517 (17-2-29) against Air Force (11/15/14) • Finished with 16 kills and a career-high ten total blocks against Utah State (10/23/14) • Had a career-high 35 attempts and six digs against New Mexico (10/18/14) • Hit a career-high .750 (6-0-8) against Washington State (8/29/14) • Named to the All-Tournament Team at the UniWyo Cowgirl Classic and the UniWyo Wyoming Invite • Recorded double-digits 14 times in kills while leading the team in blocks 13 times • An Academic All-MW and Scholar-Athlete selection.

Played in 21 matches and 67 sets with 17 starts • Started in her first match of her career against New Mexico (9/26/13) • Recorded 108 kills to average 1.61 per set while adding 67 total blocks (1.00 bps) • Hit .308 (108-32-247) • In MW matches, she recorded 91 kills and 60 total blocks while hitting .298 (91-26-218) • Ranked tenth in blocks and 14th in hitting percentage in league matches • Recorded season-highs with 13 kills and 28 attempts against Utah State (10/31/13) • Recorded a season-high eight total blocks against Fresno State (11/21/13) • Earned Academic All-Mountain West honors.

A four-year varsity letterwinner, while attending Lutheran High School • Named MaxPreps 2012 Volleyball Small Schools Second Team All-American and the Class 2A Player of the Year • Selected Honorable Mention Colorado All-State, First Team All-Conference and to the 2012 Under Armour All-American volleyball watch list • Played in the 2012 CCGS and CHSAA All-State games while earning Colorado Community Media POY and Denver 3A Metropolitan League Senior of the Year • Led her team to a 28-0 record and their second straight 2A Colorado State Title during her senior campaign • Selected Class 2A First Team All-Colorado as a junior, along with being named Class 2A Second Team All-State and to the All-State Tournament Team during her sophomore year • Helped her team to a 2A State Championship in 2011, while they qualified for the 2010 State Tournament • Played club volleyball for Front Range Volleyball Club • Her 2012 18-1 black team won a bronze medal at the USAVB Open Division Junior Nationals while her 16-1 blue team and 15-1 white team were Junior National Qualifiers in the Open Division • Coached in high school by Alicia Oates • A member of the National Honor Society and an Academic All-Conference and All-State selection while being named Salutatorian of her class.
