Junior (2018) | Match-By-Match Statistics
Tara Traphagan was outstanding for the Cowgirls yet again in 2018 • Started 27 matches for the Cowgirls and played a total of 116 sets • Finished third on the team with 246 kills on a 2.12 kills per set average and .233 hitting percentage • Also was third on the team in blocks (116) and blocks per set (1.00) • Her 1.00 blocks per set ranked 12th in the MW • Reached double-digits in kills eight times as a junior • Recorded five or more blocks 13 different times • Recorded a season high of 15 kills at Portland • Set a season high in blocks three different times with eight • Named to the Academic All-MW Team.


Sophomore (2017) | Match-By-Match Statistics

Tara Traphagan had an excellent sophomore season in 2017 • She made 28 starts and totaled 115 sets • She was joined by Jackie McBride as an All-MW selection for the first time in her career • Traphagan tied with Emily Lewis for a team-high 213 kills • She finished second on the team, only behind Lewis, with 2.71 kills per set • She led the team in kills on ten occasions, including a career-high 21 at New Mexico (10/19) • It was her second match of the season topping at least 20 kills, as she recorded exactly 20 against Abilene Christian (8/26) • From Oct. 19 to Nov. 4, Traphagan posted six-straight matches with at least 12 kills • Traphagan also finished third on the team with 107 blocks (0.93 bps) • Against Pepperdine (9/8), she recorded a career-best nine total blocks to lead the Brown and Gold.

Freshman (2016) | Match-By-Match Statistics
Tara Traphagan saw action in 25 matches and made 11 starts during her rookie season with Wyoming • Traphagan was more than consistent during MW play and recorded a season-best nine kills against New Mexico (11/3) • She was one of five Cowgirls with at least 100 kills on the season, as she finished with 104 (1.39 kps) • Traphagan was also sixth on the team with 42 total blocks • She led the Cowgirls in hitting percentage in three matches and once in blocks throughout the season • An Academic All-MW selection. 

High School
A four-year letterwinner for Yuma High School • Three-time team captain and all-state selection • Was named the 2A Player of the Year after leading Yuma High to a State Championship during her senior season • Additionally, she helped her team win four Regional Championships • Also a four-time all-state and all-conference selection in track and field, in addition to an impressive runner up finish in the shot put event • She was an all-state selection in basketball and helped Yuma High win another State Championship during senior season • A member of the Honor Roll and National Honor Society • Student Council Secretary • A member of the  International Thespian Society and participated in the Touching Hearts Through Athletics • She was also the valedictorian of her class and won the 2016 Freddie Steinmark High School Student-Athlete of the Year Award • Coached by Jen Noble.

Majoring in kinesiology and health promotion at UW • Born August 13, 1997 in Denver, Colo. • Her older brother Austin was a member of the UW football team from 2011-2015 • Also has an older sister, Jessica • Tara Juilene Traphagan is the daughter of Pat and Cindy Traphagan.
