STILLWATER, Okla. (Jan. 20, 2019) – In its only match of the week, the Wyoming tennis team (2-2 overall) dropped a 7-0 contest against the ninth ranked Oklahoma State Cowgirls (2-1 overall) on Sunday afternoon.
OSU swept all three matches in doubles action. Bunyawi Thamchaiwat and Tamara Arnold defeated junior
Ana Royo and freshman
Maria Oreshkina, 6-1, while the Cowgirls clinched the point with a 6-2 win by 28
th ranked Sofia Blanco and Catherine Gulihur over seniors

Mihaela Kaftanova fell to Lisa Marie Rioux and Marina Guinart, 6-3.
In singles play, Oklahoma State won matches at the fourth, fifth and sixth spots to clinch the match. Royo lost in straight sets to Gulihur, 6-1, 6-1, followed by a 6-2, 6-0 victory by 40
th ranked Guinart over Fernandez. The Cowgirls clinched the match with Arnold beating Kaftanova, 6-1, 6-1. Oreshkina dropped a 6-3, 6-2 contest against the 21st ranked Katarina Stresnakova, followed by a straight set win, 6-4, 6-1 win by Thamchaiwat over Koonik. van Der Ploeg fell 6-2, 6-3, against Rioux.
The Cowgirls will return to the court on Friday against Midwestern State in Lubbock. The match is set for 3 p.m. MT.
