2018-19: Redshirted the 2018-19 season … Did not compete.

High School: Attended Poudre High School and wrestled under coach Barrett Golyer … Lettered in wrestling as a sophomore, junior and senior … Was a two-time all-conference wrestler and was twice named to the all-region team … Finished as the heavyweight runner-up in 2018 … Was also a three-year letterwinner in football … Participated in a number of community service activities, including volunteering at a local retirement home and with the 4-H organization.
 
Personal: Weston Mayer was born May 24, 1999 in Fort Collins, Colo., to parents Bob and Dawn Mayer … His sister, Leah, played collegiate volleyball at West Texas A&M … Hobbies include hunting, fishing and Christianity … Plans to major in agricultural business at Wyoming.
 
Why He Chose UW: “I’ve always really liked it up here. It’s a little smaller DI school, and it’s close enough but far enough from home.”
