Biography

2017-18: Redding appeared in all 32 games with nine starts in his first season of action with the Cowboys. He averaged 3.7 points per game, one rebound and 1.3 assists per night. He shot 39 percent from behind the arc going 13-of-33. He scored a career-high 13 points against Louisiana in the Cayman Islands Classic. He recorded a career-high five assists for the Pokes and tied a career-high with three made field goals against Colorado State. He had nine points in the season opener against Chattanooga.

2016-17: Redding redshirted the 2016-17 season and did not play in a game, but did help the Cowboys by serving on the scout team.
Before UW: Redding comes to the Cowboys after playing two seasons at Washington State. The 6-2, 166-pound guard averaged 2.7 points and 1.4 rebounds in 60 games with 22 starts. Last season, Redding averaged 1.2 points and 1.0 rebound appearing in 29 games averaging 12 minutes per game. During his freshman season, he appeared in all 31 games averaging 4.1 points and 1.7 rebounds per game. He also dished out 101 assists on the season averaging 3.3 per contest to rank second on the team and 13th in the Pac-12 Conference. Redding averaged 19.4 minutes per game and shot 40 percent (36-of-90) from the field. He also set a WSU freshman single-season record in free throw percentage at 80 percent (49-of-61).
High School: Redding played at Westwind Prep in Phoenix, Ariz. Redding averaged 29.8 points, 2.1 steals and 8.7 assists per game, while shooting 53 percent from the field and 89 percent from the free throw line during his senior season. He was named First Team All-State, tournament MVP and Defensive Player of the Year, as well as being named the team’s captain. Redding compiled five 40-point games in his senior year at Westwind Prep. Redding is the step-son of Wyoming assistant coach Jermaine Kimbrough and will be a walk-on for the Cowboy basketball program.
