Biography

2016-17: Moemeka appeared in 26 games with four starts for the Pokes. He averaged 1.7 points per game along with 2.5 rebounds per night. He recorded a career-high eight points against Air Force on Dec. 28. He grabbed a career-high six rebounds three times with the last coming against UMKC in the CBI, as he played a career-high 21 minutes in the contest. He recorded a career-high three steal against Air Force on Dec. 28 and had a career-best two blocks against Colorado Christian on Dec. 5.

2015-16: Andrew Moemeka (pronounced MO-mecca) redshirted the 2015-16 season and did not play in a game, but did help the Cowboys by serving on the scout team.  

Before Wyoming: Moemeka was another Cowboy that transferred to Oldsmar Christian High School for his senior season in 2014-15. An athletic power forward at 6-8 and 200 pounds, he helped guide the Eagles to a 26-4 overall record. He played his junior season at Columbia High School where he averaged nearly 13 points, 11 rebounds and six blocks per game. 

Personal: Moemeka also held scholarship offers from 10 other NCAA Division I schools, including Louisiana Tech, Murray State, Florida International and Western Kentucky. He verbally committed to Wyoming on Aug. 5. He is majoring in business at Wyoming.
