LARAMIE, Wyo. (Jan. 3, 2023) – After back-to-back tournaments, the Wyoming Cowboy Wrestling squad will have a change of pace to ring in the new year as they hit the road for a pair of Big 12 duals. The Pokes open their road trip in Cedar Falls, Iowa against No. 16 Northern Iowa on Thursday, Jan. 5 before heading to Ames, Iowa on Saturday, Jan. 7 to take on No. 3 Iowa State.
"We will really be focusing on individual match-ups as we get into these conference duals. We will have a little different line-up again this week so there is an opportunity for some new faces to make a statement and also lay claim to a starting role." Head Wrestling Coach
Mark Branch said, "Our mission, as it has been all season, is to just improve on what we work on leading up to competition and get better every time we step out and compete."
