2022-23: Wright put together another impressive season notching 19 wins for his fifth consecutive season with 17 wins or more and in doing so he eclipsed the century mark capping off his career with a total of 103 wins which ranks tied for 18th all time in program history… Qualified for his fourth straight NCAA Tournament being tabbed as the No. 15 seed… Earned his second career top three finish at the Big 12 Championships finishing third while going 3-1 with three wins over ranked opponents… Opened up his season by winning back-to-back tournaments capturing titles at the Reno Tournament of Champions and the Solider Salute winning ten straight matches in the process… Helped the Cowboys to a dual victory over Utah Valley with a 6-4 decision win over Tyson Humphreys…  Started in nine duals on the season for the Pokes winning five of those matches including two wins over ranked opponents…  Went 1-2 at the NCAA Tournament picking up 3-2 decision win over No. 18 Derek Gilcher (IND)... Excelled in the classroom as well being named a NWCA Scholar All-American as well as earning Academic All-Big 12 First Team honors. 

 
2021-22: Turned in another impressive season in the Brown and Gold qualifying for his third NCAA Tournament being tabbed as the No. 12 seed… Put together a great performance at the Big 12 Championships earning a career best third place finish with a nail biting 6-5 win over No. 14 Justin Thomas (OU)… Finished third at the Cliff Keen Las Vegas Invitational with two wins over ranked opponents including a 3-2 win over No. 9 Will Lewan (MICH)… Won the Reno Tournament of Champions with a 5-0 record helping the Cowboys to a second place finish as a team… Competed in all but one dual for the Cowboys during the season… Excelled in the classroom as well earning Big 12 All-Academic First team honors and being one of just nine wrestlers in the Big 12 to post a 4.0 GPA. 


2020-21: Had an outstanding first year with Wyoming which was culminated by qualifying for his second NCAA Tournament… Was tabbed as the No. 23 seed for the NCAA Tournament… Had an incredible NCAA Tournament run upsetting No. 10 Justin Thomas (OU) in the first round and falling one win short of earning All-American status… Earned his first win as a Cowboy with a 10-4 victory over Johnny Lovett (CMU)… Won the UVU Round Robin Tournament with a 2-0 record… Won the Cowboy Challenge Tournament upsetting No. 10 Wyatt Sheets (OKST) 3-2 in the finals… Tied for the most wins by a Cowboy on the season with 17

2019-20 (Redshirt Sophomore): Earned an automatic berth to the NCAA Championships where he finished fifth at 157 pounds at the Big 12 Championship ... tabbed the No. 25 seed at the NCAA Championships that were canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic ... earned National Wrestling Coaches Association Scholar All-American honors... named Big 12 Co-Wrestler of the Week on Nov. 5 after going 3-0 at the AFC Duals/Battle on the Midway.

2018-19 (Redshirt Freshman): Wright recorded a 23-13 overall record as a redshirt freshman, tying for the third-most wins on the team... finished fifth at the Big 12 Championship going 2-2... finished third at the Reno Tournament of Champions going 4-1 ... Academic All-Big 12 First Team selection.

2017-18 (Freshman): Redshirted.... Wright went 4-3 in a pair of tournaments competing unattached at 157 pounds... went 2-2 at the Reno Tournament of Champions with a pair of major decision victories.

High School: Wright finshed as a two-time CIF State Medalist at Dinuba High School... placed fourth at 145 lbs. as a senior in 2017  and was a 2016 CIF State Finalist placing second at 138 lbs... ranked #16 nationally by FloWrestling at 145 lbs as a senior... posted a 102-18 prep career... four-year letter winner who wrestled at a different weight in each of his four seasons as a prep.
