2022-23: Returning from injury, Moody put together the second most single season wins of his career with 18 while qualifying for his second career NCAA Tournament… Entered the Big 12 Championships unseeded putting together a run of upset wins to finish fourth earning automatic qualification to the NCAA Tournament… Opened his season by Winning the Cowboy Open going 4-0 with two pins… Helped the Cowboys to a dual win over Utah Valley with a 8-4 decision victory over Tanner Lofthouse… Earned a second place finish at the Reno Tournament of Champions posting a 4-1 record helping the Cowboys to finish second as a team… Went 4-1 at the Soldier Salute finishing third and helping the Cowboys to finish third in the team standings... Earned his second consecutive Big 12 All-Academic second team honors. 

2021-22: Earned 10 wins on the season before suffering a season ending injury… Went 3-1 at the Cowboy open with two bonus point wins to earn a second-place finish… Defeated Nick Knutson (UNC) by a 11-2 major decision to help lead the Pokes to a dual win over Northern Colorado… Also recorded wins in duals against Oregon State, Missouri and Utah Valley... Excelled in the classroom as well earning Big 12 All-Academic Second Team honors.

2020-21: Moody had a breakout season in his second year as a starter for the Cowboys highlighted by qualifying for NCAA Tournament for the first time in his career… Earned a career best runner-up finish at the Big 12 Championships after upsetting No. 2 seeded Peyton Hall (WVU) in the semi-finals… Won the UVU Round Robin Tournament with a 2-0 record… Placed third at the Cowboy Challenge Tournament… Opened the season with a pin over Billy Higgins (UNCO) before rattling off a eight-match winning streak 
 
2019-20: Recorded 21 victories in his first season in the lineup for the Pokes … notched eight dual wins and three ranked victories on the season … placed sixth at the Big 12s by going 3-3 … tallied 12 bonus-point wins in 2019-20 … beat 20th-ranked Shane Jones of Old Dominion, 5-2 during the South Beach Duals … took second at both the UNC Open and Reno … went 4-1 with three bonus-point victories down in Reno.

2018-19: Redshirted the 2018-19 season … Went 14-3 in his true freshman year, competing unattached in open tournaments … Of his 14 wins on the year, nine came with bonus points, taWon the Cowboy Open amateur division at 174 pounds, going 4-0 with a fall, technical fall and major decision to earn Outstanding Wrestler honors … Also took first at the Nebraska Kearney Open, going 4-0 with two technical falls and two majors … Finished second at the Northern Colorado Open … Also appeared at the Reno Tournament of Champions.

High School: Attended Bingham High School and wrestled under coaches Matt Walker and Dean Moody … A three-time state champion, winning in 2016, 2017 and 2018 … Also won individual regional championships from 2016-18 … Was the 2018 Doc Buchanan Champion … Served as the wrestling team caption from 2016-2018 … Lettered all four years … Also lettered in football as a sophomore, junior and senior, serving as a captain as a senior … Helped lead Bingham’s football team to state championships in 2017 and 2018, as well as regional championships from 2016-18.
 
Personal: Cole Moody was born July 8, 1999 to Dean and Emilee Moody in Murray, Utah … Hobbies include fishing, hunting and football … Plans to major in business at Wyoming.
