LUBBOCK, Texas. (Jan. 26, 2019) – The Wyoming tennis team (3-3 overall) closed out its weekend with a tough 4-0 loss against the 19^th ranked Texas Tech Lady Raiders on Saturday afternoon.  
 
The Lady Red Raiders opened up the day by taking the doubles point. Lana Rush and Kennedy Bridgforth defeated freshmen Ida Krause and Mihaela Kaftanova, 6-3, while seniors Elisa Koonik and Tessa van Der Ploeg dropped their match against the 38^th ranked team of Felicity Maltby and Nell Miller, 6-4.
 
In singles play, the Lady Raiders won five of six singles matches played to come away with the victory. The 52^nd ranked player Maltby defeated Koonik, 6-2, 6-0, while Bridgforth beat Royo by the same score, 6-2, 6-0. Texas Tech won the match with Anton Stoica defeating Maria Oreshkina, 6-1, 6-3.  
  
The Cowgirls will to action on Saturday, Feb. 9 against Nebraska. The match is scheduled for 9 a.m. MT in Lincoln.
