HIGHLANDS RANCH, Colo. (Oct. 7, 2018) – The Wyoming women's golf team finished seventh at the Ron Moore Women's Intercollegiate, finishing off a solid weekend for the Cowgirls at the par-72, 6,513-yard Highlands Ranch Golf Course.
Wyoming finished off the week with a 5-over 293, its lowest single-round score of the weekend, which also ties as the fifth-lowest single-round team score in school history. It ties the program's lowest single-round score at the Ron Moore Women's Intercollegiate as well, matching last year's third-round total.
The Pokes' 54-hole total will also go into the school record book, as the team fired a 28-over 892 which ties for third in the school record book for low team event score. It also ties the team's 2015 score as the program's lowest 54-hole total at the Ron Moore Women's Intercollegiate.

Josey Stender said. "Everyone played determined and focused all tournament. This team has shown tremendous patience and improvement this fall. I credit their hard work and confident team leadership"
Colorado State took top team honors, as the only team under par at the event at 4-under, while the Rams' Ellen Secor was the individual medalist at 3-under for the week.
Wyoming saw two Cowgirls post rounds under par to wrap up the tournament.
Junior
Erin Sargent carded the lowest single round score of the week for the Pokes with a 2-under 70 to finish off her weekend. Sargent closed out her round with three birdies over her final six holes to tie for 13
th with a 54-hole total of 3-over 219. It was her second second round of the weekend shooting under par, as she started off the event with a 71 on Friday. The 70 was just a shot off of tying her career low, and ties as the ninth-lowest round in school history.
Cowgirl senior
Megan Knadler posted her second-straight 71 on Sunday to take 22
nd overall with a 6-over 222. Knadler dropped in four bogeys over the course of her final 18 to help clinch her third top-25 finish in as many appearances so far this season.
Senior
Sarah Hankins wrapped up her tournament with a 77 to tie for 42
nd at 11-over (74-76-79), while freshman
Samantha Hui finished tied for 50
th at 13-over (77-77-75).
Caitlyn Skavdahl also turned in a 77 to finish in a tie for 59
th at 14-over (77-76-77).
The only Cowgirl competing as an individual this weekend, freshman
Michelle Nguyen finished tied for 88
th at 29-over with rounds of 78, 81 and 86.
Wyoming will be back in action later this month when the Cowgirls head to Lakewood Ranch, Fla., to compete at the Pat Bradley Invitational set to begin Oct. 21.
