University of Wyoming Athletics

2023-24 (Senior): Ricks started at 133 for stretches of the season and competed at the Big 12 Tournament at that weight.                
 
2022-23 (Junior): In his first season at Wyoming, Ricks was a staple in the Cowboy lineup racking up 15 wins including for dual wins… Scored big bonus points for the Cowboys in their dual win over Utah Valley with a 11-1 major decision over Kobe Nelms… Competing in his first Bug 12 Championships, he came away with an eighth-place finish after entering the tournament unseeded… Opened his season by finishing third at the Cowboy Open with a record of 3-1… Posted a record of 3-2 at the Reno Tournament of Champions helping the Cowboys to a second place team finish… Picked up an emphatic 6-4 overtime dual victory over Northern Colorado’s Jace Kolezer… Went 3-3 at the Soldier Salute to help push the Cowboys to a third place team finish... Excelled in the classroom as well, being named a NWCA Scholar All-American. 

Before Wyoming: Had an outstanding two year stretch at Western Wyoming College coming to UW as a two-time NJCAA All-American… Won the NJCAA National title at 125 pounds in 2022 after finishing third at the NJCAA National tournament in 2021… Posted impressive results against NCAA Opponents finishing second at the 2021 Cowboy Open and taking fourth at the 2021 Reno Tournament of Champions… Was a three-time Utah state champion and a two-time high school All-American before attending Western Wyoming.
