2021-22 (Senior): Played in six tournaments during the season competing as an individual in five of them… Turned in a stroke average of 81.2 through 15 rounds on the season… Had her best finish of the season at the UVU Hobble Creek Classic where she tied for 59^th with a total score of 234 (+21) … Helped the Cowgirls to a sixth-place finish at the Mountain Classic Matchplay event

2020-21 (Junior): Played in three tournaments as an individual during the season… Turned in an 80.14 stroke average through seven rounds… She had two season best rounds of 77 (+5) at the Wyoming Cowgirl Classic where she went 234 (+18) to finish 69^th… Shot 170 (+26) at the SUU Thunderbird Invitational to finish 82^nd and followed that up by placing 66^th at the BYU Spring Classic with a score of 157 (+13).

2019-20 (Sophomore): Competed in all seven tournaments for the Cowgirls during the 2019-20 season … Recorded a 78.8 stroke average in all 21 rounds played which was fourth on the team … Had her highest finish of the fall at the Wyoming Cowgirl Desert Intercollegiate in a tie for 25^th with a 239 (+23) … Opened up the fall with a 225 (+12) at the Hobble Creek Fall Classic … Shot a career-high best round of 70 (-1) in the final round of the tournament … Her best finish of the spring was a 24^th place showing at the BYU Entrada Classic with a three day total of 231 (+15) … An Academic All-MW selection.

2018-19 (Freshman): Appeared in six of the Cowgirls’ 10 tournaments as a freshman in 2018-19, competing in five tournaments as an individual … Finished her first collegiate season with a 79.3 stroke average … Recorded her highest finish of the season tying for 33rd at the Wyoming Cowgirl Desert Intercollegiate with a 238 (+22) … Recorded her first start in the Cowgirl lineup at the Battle at the Rock where she fired a 232 (+16), her lowest score to par of the season, on the way to a T53 finish … Also carded a 73 (+1) in the final round of the tournament for her lowest single-round score of the season … An Academic All-MW selection.

High School: Michelle Nguyen joined Wyoming from Sandra Day O’Connor High School in Phoenix, Ariz., where she played under head coach Al Baker ... Served as the team captain this past year and named the Player of the Year in both 2014 and 2016, in addition to a ninth-place finish in 2015 ... Won her first JGAA event of 2017 by taking home top honors at the BMO Invitational and took second place individually at the Division I State tournament ... Owns a 76.5 scoring average and was the JGAA No. 1 ranked junior for the class of 2018 ... Was inducted into the Society of Female Scholars, is a member of the Spanish Honors Society and an Honor Roll member.
