Biography

2023-2023-24 (Junior): Kyla Wilde played in all four of Wyoming’s 2023 fall tournaments and all seven during the spring.  She posted two Top 25 finishes, placing 21st at the Pat Bradley Invitational and finishing 22nd at the Payne Stewart Memorial.  Wilde’s low tournament score was a 221 (+5) at the Pat Bradley during the fall and 220 (+4) at the Bobcat Classic in the spring.  She shot 222 (+6) at the Payne Stewart Memorial.  She shot a 71 (-1) in the opening round of the Bobcat Classic for her lowest score of the spring. She finished tied for 26th at the Mountain West Championships with a tally og 224 (+8).

2022-23 (Sophomore): Wilde competed in all five of Wyoming’s 2022 fall tournaments before having her season cut short due to injury, causing her to miss the entire spring season.  She opened her season in tremendous form, rattling off three straight Top 25 finishes.  Wilde began the season with a 17th-place showing at the Utah Valley Hobble Creek Classic.  She followed that up with a 21st-place finish at the Coeur d’Alene Resort Collegiate Invitational.  Then Wilde had her best finish of the season at the Colonel Wollenberg Ram Classic where she tied for 14th, with a season low score of 216 (Even).  Wilde posted her best single-round scores of the season at the Utah Valley Hobble Creek Classic and the Coeur d’Alene Invitational where she fired 71 (Even) in the second round of both tournaments.  She earned Academic All-Mountain West Conference honors for the second time in her career.

2021-22 (Freshman): Wilde had an impressive freshman year for the Cowgirls playing in nine of 11 tournaments.  She had the second best stroke average on the season amongst the Cowgirls with a 76.9 through 27 round.  Wilde had the best individual finish by any Cowgirl on the season tying for eighth at the UVU Hobble Creek Classic with a three-round score of 218 (+5).  She earned Academic All-Mountain West Conference honors for the first time in her career.

High School: She was a three-time First Team All-District selection during her career.  Her team won the 2020 High School National Championship in Pinehurst, N.C. and the Antigua National High School Tournament Championship.  Wilde had Top 5 Individual finishes at both of those national competitions.  In 2019, her team won the Arizona Division 1 State Championship where she finished seventh individually.  Wilde was also the runner-up at the 2019 Antigua National High School Tournament.  She earned the Sportsmanship Award for her Pinnacle Girl’s Golf Team.

Personal:  Wilde is the daughter of Charlie and Bridgette Wilde and has one sister, Alexa.
