Biography

2024-25 (junior): Turned in the Cowgirls' best individual round with a 73 on the final day of the Ram Classic to move up six spots to 40th place for the tournament. … Tied teammate Kyla Wilde for the team’s best finish (24th) at the Cowgirl Classic after shooting 227 (+11) on the par-72, 6,191-yard Ak-Chin Southern Dunes golf course. … Finished 47th at the Bobcat Desert Classic with a three-round score of 237 (+21). … Shot 234 (+18) to finish 34th at the Credit Union 1 Mountain West Women's Golf Championship at the Dinah Shore Tournament Course at Mission Hills Country Club.

2023-24 (sophomore):  Sophie Spiva competed in three of four fall tournaments for the Cowgirls.  Her best finish of the season was a 46th-place showing at the Colonel Wollenberg Ram Classic where she also posted her best tournament score of the fall season, shooting a 230 (+14). In the spring, she appeared in all seven events. She finished 42nd at the Mountain West Championship. Her best round was a 73 (+1) in the final round of the SUU Pizza Hut Lady Thunderbird. She finished tied for ninth for the best finish of her career.
  
2022-23 (freshman): Spiva competed in six of 10 stroke-play events for the Cowgirls in the 2022-23 season.  She enjoyed her best tournament finish at the Southern Utah Lady Thunderbird, firing a 228 (+12) total to place 30th.  Spiva also shot her lowest single round of the season in the SUU Lady Thunderbird, shooting a final round 72 (Even).  Spiva earned Academic All-Mountain West Conference honors for the first time in her career.
 
High School: Spiva had an impressive prep career at Natrona County High School wrapping up her career finishing in the Top 10 at the Wyoming Class 4A State Championships four consecutive years..  She finished fourth individually as a senior at the 2021 Class 4A State Championship while also leading Natrona County to a fourth-place team finish.  Her junior season, Spiva finished as the individual runner-up at the Class 4A State Championship.  She took third at the State Championship as a sophomore and placed eighth as a freshman.  Spiva was a four-time All-State selection.  She gained additional valuable experience playing at the junior and amateur levels.  In the summer of 2002, she was selected as one of only four team members for the Wyoming Girls Junior America’s Cup golf team.
