Biography

Junior (2022-23): Participated in backstroke, butterfly and the individual medley … was named All-Western Athletic Conference (2/24/23) after posting a career-best time of 1:46.31 in the 200-yard backstroke … also went a career-best 3:56.55 in the 400-yard IM … went a career-best 1:40.64 in the 200-yard freestyle at the DU First Chance Meet (2/11/23), while also going a season-best 1:51.93 in the 200-yard IM … recorded a career-best 54.15 in the 100-yard butterfly at Air Force (1/14/23) and went a career-best 2:00.81 in the 200-yard butterfly at Colorado School of Mines (1/21/23).  

Sophomore (2021-22): Showcased his versatility, competing in backstroke, butterfly and the individual medley … was a Western Athletic Conference (2/24/22) all-conference selection after swimming a career-best time of 1:47.13 in the 200-yard backstroke … also swam a career-best time of 1:39.96 in the 100-yard freestyle, a season-best time of 1:50.09 in the 200-yard butterfly as well as swimming a leg of the 800-yard freestyle relay that clocked in at 6:31.70 … boasted a career-best time of 1:51.30 in the 200-yard IM at the Missouri Invite (11/19/21), while also posting a season-best time of 4:00.92 in the 400-yard IM.

Freshman (2020-21): Boasted numerous season-bests at various different meets … posted a trio of career-best times at the Western Athletic Conference Championships (2/26/21) … swam a 3:57.77 in the 400 IM, a 1:51.40 in the 200 IM and a 1:49.86 in the 200 butterfly … logged a career-best time of 1:52.48 in the 200 backstroke in a dual against Hawaii (1/29/21) … recorded another career-best time of 4:46.86 in the 500 freestyle in a tri-meet at Air Force (1/16/21) and another one in the 200 freestyle in a dual against Denver (1/22/21), swimming a 1:43.31. 

High School: A four-time letterwinner while swimming for Desert Ridge High School…was named the MVP for three seasons and was a team captain…in 2019, he took home the state title in the 200 IM along with runner-up spots in the 100 backstroke and 500 freestyle…had three top five finished the three previous seasons in the 100 back and 200 IM.

Personal: He is the son of Jeff and Laura Walker...has eight siblings…majoring in communication.
