Cross Country: Competed in every race for the Cowgirls during the season finishing a point-getter in three of them… Has her best finish of the season at the Wyoming Invitational where she took 26
th with a 5k time of 18:25.6… Finished 71
stoverall and fifth amongst the Cowgirls at the Roy Griak Invitational… Finished 48
th overall and fifth amongst the Cowgirls at the Mountain West Championships helping Wyoming to a sixth-place team finished… Clocked a 6k time of 22:54.6 at the NCAA Mountain Region Championships to finish 95
th… Excelled in the classroom as well earning Academic All-Mountain West Honors.
2020-21
Cross Country: Competed in all three races for the Cowgirls… Finished 17
th overall and fifth among the Cowgirls at the CSU dual meet… Had a solid showing at the Battle Born Collegiate Cross-Country Challenge placing 17
th overall and fourth for the Cowgirls… Finished 44
th overall and third among the Cowgirls at the MW Championships
High School: A graduate of Laramie High school, Whitman earned four letters in cross country and three letters in Nordic skiing and outdoor track each and was the 2019 Wyoming state cross country champion. In track, holds school records in the 800m, 1,600m and 3,200m distances. Was the state champion in the 800m as a sophomore and junior and her sprint medley relay teams won state and Best of the Best in both 2018 and 2019. Won the Wyoming Best of the Best in the 800m in 2018… Earned All-State honors in the 3,200m run as a freshman. Qualified for state in the 800m, 1,600m and 3,200m races as a freshman, sophomore and junior and finished top four in each of those races. Placed top-10 in every year in every race she's competed in during cross country, Nordic skiing and track & field seasons and was the 2019 Nordic skiing 10,000m state champion Whitman was also a member of the National Honor Society, earned honor roll and was president of the Z-Club as a senior.
Personal: Daughter of Brenda and Ron Whitman and sister of Caleb, Josie and Conner. Father Ron wrestled at Wyoming and is in the Wyoming Athletics Hall of Fame with the 1984-85 team. Chose for the coaches, academics, the diversity of mountains and trails as well as how close she was to her family. Was also recruited by Portland State and Oregon. Whitman is set to graduate in 2025 with a degree in accounting and finance.
