Biography

Junior (2021-22): boasted a pair of All-American honors for the first time in her career … qualified to the consolation finals in both platform and 3-meter during the NCAA Championships (3/16/22) … enjoyed a fruitful day at the Mountain West Conference Championships (2/17/22), posting career-best marks in all three events … scored 318.50 in 1-meter, 373.20 in 3-meter and 328.20 in platform.

Sophomore (2020-21): Followed up her breakthrough freshman campaign with another stellar season … earned All-American honors after placing fifth in platform at the NCAA Championships (3/20/21) with a score of 245.00 … she also qualified in the 1- and 3-meter competitions after a strong showing at the Zone E Meet (3/6/21) … Prior to the zone meet, Mirafuentes collected her second consecutive Diver of the Meet award at the Mountain West Conference Championships (2/20/21) … She won platform, posting a score of 280.50, while also taking second in the 1- and 3-meter competitions with final tallies of 292.10 and 330.15, respectively. 

Freshman (2019-20): Mirafuentes burst on the scene and put her name in the UW record book in her freshman campaign...a College Coaches Swimming and Diving Association (CSCAA) All-American selection…qualified for the NCAA Championships in the platform after a third place finish (559.80) at the NCAA Zone E Championships...at the MW Championship, she posted another career and school best mark with a score of 378.00 to finish second in the 3-meter…broke her previous record that she set two weeks prior at Air Force of 365.65…shattered her previous career-high and the school record in the platform on her way to her first Mountain West title and was the first Cowgirl to win the event in either the MW or the WAC…for her efforts over the championships, she was also named the MW Championship Diver of the Meet…eclipsed her own and the program high with a combined score of 348.80 through five dives on the platform during the preliminaries…was named to the All-MW team for the first time in her career in two events…also selected the Mountain West Conference Swimmer and Diver of the Week three times during the year.

High School:  A very successful diver while attending Preparatoria 9 School…over the previous five years, she finished in the top three at Nationals and twice at the PanAm games…Mirafuentes earned a Gold medal three-times in the 1-meter board and the silver in the 3-meter and platform…in all, she has collected 13 medals between all three boards.

Personal: She is the daughter of Miguel and Rosy Mirafuentes…has a sibling, Daniela...majoring in art education.
