Sophomore (2016-17): Placed third against Boise State in January 2017 in the 100 freestyle with a time of 1:01.05…swam three career-best races at the 2017 American Short Course Championships….recorded a 57.12 in the 100 breast, a 2:06.03 in the 200 breast and 1:56.22 in the 200 IM. Freshman (2015-16): Johansen saw action in a number of different meets for the Cowboys…competed for UW against Denver in the 50 breast (28.38) and the 200 breast (2:16.96)…finished ninth against Air Force in the 200 IM (2:04.42), and seventh in the 100 breast against No. 14 Utah. High School: As a senior, he was a First Team All-State performer…also competed at the NCSA Junior Nationals in the 100 and 200 breaststrokes and the 200 individual medley… was a three-time USA Swimming Academic All-American, as well as a two-time Texas All-State Academic honoree…was also a member of the National Honor Society the past two years.
