Cross Country: Competed in every race for the Cowboys on the season finishing as a point getter in four of them… Had his best performance of the season at the Wyoming Invitational where he finished 12^th overall and third amongst the Cowboys with a 5k time of 15:24.4… Finished 57^th overall and fifth amongst the Cowboys at the Roy Griak Invitational with an 8k time of 25:46.7… Finished 42^nd at the Mountain West Championships…Competed at the NCAA Mountain Region Championships finishing in 87^th… Excelled in the classroom as well earning Academic All-Mountain West Honors.

Outdoor Track and Field:  Started his season by taking 13^th in the 1500M at the Spank Blasing Invite with a time of 3:55.31… Took second in the 3000M with a time of 8:16.00… Finished 16^th at the West Coast Relays in the 10000M clocking a time of 30:23.25.



2018-19: During the indoor season, had a personal-best mile time of 4:10.98 at the Powder River Dual… Had career-best times in the 3,000m of 8:23.64 and in the 5,000m of 15:05.09 at the Mountain West Indoor Championships to finish 17^th and 14^th, respectively… During the outdoor season, had a career-best 1,500m time of 3:52.16 at the Doug Max Invitational… Had a career-best 5,000m time of 14:43.37 at the Mountain West Championships where he finished 17^th… Had a career-best 10,000m time of 30:26.58 at the Mike Fanelli Classic… Finished 17^th at the MW Outdoor Championships in the 10,000m with a time of 31:57.07... Earned academic all-MW honors.

2020-21
Cross Country: Competed in every race during the season and  finished in the top five for the Cowboys in two races… Placed 14^th overall at the CSU dual meet with a time of 19:00.6… At the Battle Born Collegiate Cross Country Challenge he finished 36^th helping the Cowboys to an eighth place finish as a team… Finished 56^th overall and ninth for the Cowboys at the MW Championships with a time of 26:04.2.

2018-19: Competed in all-six races for the Cowboys during the season, scoring team points in two of them… Placed 211^th overall and sixth among Cowboys at the NCAA National Championships… Finished 88^th overall and seventh for UW at the NCAA Mountain Regional Championships… Placed 55^th overall and eighth for UW at the Mountain West Championships… Finished fifth for Wyoming at both the season-opening Wyoming Invite and the Joe Piane Invitational… Earned Academic All-MW honors.

2017-18: Placed 57^th overall at the Mountain West Championships… Finished 78^th overall at the NCAA Mountain Regional, which was fifth among Cowboys… Competed in the final four races of the season… Scored points in three of the races he competed in… Earned academic all-MW honors.

Before Wyoming: Competed at Custer County HS during his prep career…won the Colorado 2A individual state championship in cross country in 2016…was the runner-up at the state level in the 3,200 meters during the 2016 season and took third in 2017…took fifth in the 1,600 meters at the state level in both 2016 and 2017…in the 800 meters, finished seventh in the state in 2016 and fifth in 2017.

Personal: Jerald is the son of Shari and Jesse, who was a track & field and cross country athlete at Adams State University...he has five sisters and two brothers and intends to major in Agricultural Business at UW.
