FORT COLLINS, Colorado (9/18/24) – The University of Wyoming men's golf team moved up during the final day of the Ram Masters Invite. The Cowboys tied for 11th as a team at 13-over in a tournament played at Fort Collins Country.

"I saw a lot of good stuff," head coach Joe Jensen said. "I'm not saying it was our best event, but everyone is playing well. Some guys didn't putt necessarily well and made some unusual mistakes. It was a little bit of sloppiness. But all those things, you learn as a player, you can quickly tidy up and get back in rhythm."

Host Colorado State won the team title at 22-under. Utah Tech took runner-up with a score of 18-under, while Long Beach State and Colorado tied for third at 9-under.

Valparaiso's Anthony Delisante led wire-to-wire to seize the individual crown at 197 (-13). Colorado State's Jake Rodgers was second at 201 (-9), and Utah Tech's Tanner Telford was third at 202 (-8).

Patrick Azevedo led the Pokes. He saved his best round for last and finished in a tie for 31st. Azevedo fired a Round 3 score of 68 (-2) to log a three-round score of 212 (+2), and his last 18 holes featured five birdies.

Jaren Calkins nearly duplicated what Azevedo did. He carded a final-round 67 (-3) to check in at 215 (+5), which positioned him in a tie for 51st.

Damon Vilkauskas was third on the team, bouncing back from a rough Tuesday afternoon to shoot a 72 (+2) on Wednesday. That put him in a tie for 58th after a three-round total of 217 (+7).

Kristof Panke tied for 61st with a final score of 218 (+8). His roller coaster tournament concluded with a 75 (+5).

Brody Leid also tied for 61st. He was very consistent over the course of his three rounds, carding a final-round 72 (+2), which was one shot better than his first two 18s.

Ethan Smith, playing as an individual, shot a third-round 73 (+3). That gave him a total score of 219 (+9), which put him 66th place.

Davis Seybert, who was also playing as an individual, rounded out the Cowboy golfers. He tied for 77th after a final-round 76 (+6) that gave him a total of 223 (+13).

Wyoming has a quick turnaround. It travels to Colorado Springs, Colorado, for the Gene Miranda Falcon Invitational from Saturday-Monday.
