University of Wyoming Athletics

Before Wyoming: Smith spent two seasons at Iowa Western Community College in Council Bluffs, Iowa. He helped lead Iowa Western to the NJCAA National Tournament, as the Reivers finished 18th. He won two individual titles during the spring of his sophomore season including a round of 66 (-6) at the Bethany College Classic. He was named an All-American in 2023 and was a four-time ICCAC Athlete of the Week. He recorded top-five finishes in seven tournaments.

He is a graduate of Doniphn-Turnbull High School and is a native of Doniphan, Neb. He earned Class C All-State honors in 2021 and 2002. He was a conference champion in 2021 and finished third in the State in 2021 and seventh in 2022. He was the Grand Island Athlete of the Month in May of 2021. He also excelled in the classroom as an honor roll student.  He was apart of National Honor Society.

He is the son of Jonathan and Melanie Smith. His father played golf at Concordia for four seasons.
