Biography

2024-25 (Senior): Panke started all 13 tournaments. He logged his best finish at The Duck Invite where he took runner-up at 205 (-8) and all his rounds were under par. Panke enjoyed two other top-five finishes, one of which was the Palouse Collegiate. He fired a 199 (-14) to take third and his score tied the school record for lowest with relation to par. Panke also finished fourth at the Mark Simpson Colorado Invitational. It was here where he carded a career-lowest 65 (-7) in his final round. In all, he registered five top 25 finishes. Panke’s scoring average ended up being a team-best 71.3 (2,781 strokes/39 rounds).

2023-24 (Junior): Panke started all 14 tournaments. He logged his best finish at the Wyoming Desert Intercollegiate, placing in a tie for sixth at 214 (-2), and the NGI where he took sixth at 208 (-8). That was one of five top-25 finishes for Panke with the other ones occurring at the Ram Masters Invitational (T-25th), Mark Simpson Colorado Invitational (T-21st) and the Arizona Thunderbirds Intercollegiate (T-23rd). He broke 70 a team-high six times with his best score of 67, which he fired twice, once at the Ka’anapali Classic Collegiate Invitational and the other time at the Falcon Invite. Panke finished 41st at 223 (+7) at the Mountain West Conference Championship.
 
2022-23 (Sophomore): Panke transferred to Wyoming from Lewis-Clark State College in the summer of 2022. He played in 11 of Wyoming’s 13 tournaments during the 2022-23 season.  Panke posted a stroke average of 73.31. He had three Top 25 finishes in his first season with the Cowboys. His best finish was a fifth-place showing at the Mark Simpson Colorado Invitational, which led Wyoming to the team championship. He also finished 11th at the Ram Masters Invitational, helping UW to a fourth-place finish out of 15 teams. His third Top 25 finish was a 15th-place showing at the Wyoming Desert Intercollegiate where the Cowboys captured their second tournament team title of the 2022-23 campaign. Panke’s low tournament score of the season was a 213 (-3) at the BYU Cougar Classic. His low round of the season was a 66 (-4) in the opening round of the Mark Simpson Colorado Invitational. Panke earned both Academic All-Mountain West Conference honors and MW Scholar-Athlete honors in his first season as a Cowboy.  He also received All-America Scholar honors from the Golf Coaches Association of America (GCAA).  
 
2021-22 (Freshman at Lewis-Clark State College): Panke came to Wyoming after earning Third Team NAIA All-America honors as a freshman in the 2021-22 season at Lewis and Clark State College in Lewiston, Idaho. He was named the Cascade Conference Co-Player of the Year for the 2021-22 season, was selected to the All-Conference Team and earned NAIA PING All-West Region honors his freshman season in addition to being named a Third Team NAIA All-American. He twice was named the Cascade Conference Golfer of the Week during the 2021-22 season. Panke qualified for the NAIA National Tournament as an individual and led the Cascade Conference in scoring average, with a 72.8 stroke average. He posted seven Top Five finishes and finished in the Top 15 of every tournament of the season prior to the NAIA National Championships. His highest finish of the season was a second-place showing at the Bushnell Fall Invitational, shooting a 151 (-2) in the two-round event. Panke’s season low round of 70 and tournament low score of 212 helped him to a fifth-place finish at the WWU Wine Valley Invitational. He helped lead his Warrior men’s team to four tournament wins. Panke was voted the Lewis and Clark State Freshman of the Year by his peers.
 
High School: Panke played his high school golf at Davenport High School in Davenport, Washington. He helped lead his high school team to two district golf championships, was voted All-League and earned All-Academic honors. Panke also competed in ski racing, graduated as the valedictorian of his high school class and was ASB President.
 
Personal: Panke is the son of Heather and Rolf Panke. His sister Kaysa played golf at Gonzaga. Panke is majoring in accounting.
