MILLBRAE, Calif. (April 11, 2023) – The Wyoming Cowgirl golf squad wrapped up play at the highly competitive Silicon Valley Showcase on Tuesday at the Green Hills Country Club in Millbrae, California. The Cowgirls closed out the tournament in ninth led by a top 25 finish from Jadan Gonzalez. 

"Jadan played very solid from start to finish and earning a top 25 in this field is a tremendous achievement." Head Women's Golf Coach Josey Stender said, "While we played with unique circumstances, this event was still a great event and a great way to prepare for the Mountain West Championships." 
 
Gonzalez closed out the tournament by shooting a 77 (+6) in the third round bringing her total score to 232 (+19) as she finished tied for 25^th. For Gonzalez, it is her second top 25 finish this season. 
 
Morgan Ryan was the second-best finisher for the Cowgirls shooting a 74 (+3) in the third round on her way to finishing tied for 27^th with a three-round total of 234 (+21). Making her second career appearance in the starting lineup, Grace Dunkleberger posted a three-round score of 240 (+27) to finish 42^nd moving up six spots from where she started the day. Samantha Hui rounded out the Cowgirl lineup finishing tied for 49^th with a total score of 248 (+35). 
 
As a team, the Cowgirls finished in ninth with a score of 949 (+97) coming in seven strokes behind eighth place Seattle. No. 1 ranked Stanford and No. 25 ranked Pepperdine both earned a share of the team title with each of them posting a score of 869 (+17). Santa Clara rounded out the top three taking third with a score of 908 (+56). 
 
The Cowgirls will now set their sights on their season finale as they head to Rancho Mirage, California on April 18-20 to compete in the Mountain West Championships.
