"I'm proud of the way our guys quietly hung in there today and competed," said
Joe Jensen, UW Director of Golf and Head Men's Golf Coach. "We got off to a little bit of a slow start, but came back and played well on the back nine. I feel terrific about that. The kids played hard and competed well. We have some really good things happening, and we have a nice balance on our team right now.
"Going into tomorrow, the conditions look to be different. They're expecting wind and colder temperatures tomorrow, so it will be important our guys to maintain their focus.
"The other encouraging factor is that we are competing with two Mountain West teams (Nevada and Boise State), who are both ranked in the Top 50 teams in the country. That is really encouraging for this early in the spring season."
