LAS VEGAS, Nev. (Dec. 2, 2022) – The Wyoming Cowboy Wrestling squad was in action on Friday competing against a loaded field at the Cliff Keen Las Vegas Invite inside of the Las Vegas Convention Center. Six Pokes picked up wins on the day led by Chase Zollmann (149) who went 2-3 on the day. 
 
"It was a tough day, we had guys putting in good efforts, but we just didn't put it all together today." Head Wrestling Coach Mark Branch said, "We got some guys that are really good but that doesn't equal success. We have to learn from our mistakes and we have a lot to work on and that starts on Monday." 
 
Zollmann impressed in both his wins on the day picking up two bonus point wins highlighted by dominant 17-3 major decision win over Johnathon Viveros (CSUB). Zollman's second win on the day was an 8-0 shutout victory over Trey Kruse (PURDUE).
 
In his return from injury, Hayden Hastings picked up his first win of the season grinding out a 4-1 win over Austin Eldredge behind a takedown and reversal. Brett McIntosh delivered another highlight for the Pokes as the 165 pounds bumped up to 184 for the tournament and came away with a 11-3 major decision victory over Micah DiCarlo (CIT).
 
Up next on the schedule from the Cowboys is a trip to Colorado Springs, Colorado on Dec. 10 for their second conference dual of the season against Air Force.
