LARAMIE, Wyo. (Oct. 6, 2021) – After having a week off the Wyoming Cowgirl Golf squad will return to action with their first tournament of the month. They travel to Colorado for the first time this season to compete in the Denver Ron Moore Intercollegiate in Highlands ranch hosted by Denver University.

Josey Stender said "Denver's event is always a very competitive field on a fantastic golf course. Even though it has been a few years since they hosted, we have high expectations and the familiar setup will reward a well-executed game plan."
The tournament will be played over three days with a round of play taking place every day with the tournament treeing off on Friday, Sept. 8 at 8:30 a.m. MT.
The Cowgirls will be up against tough 16 team field featuring Eastern Tennessee state who captured the team title at the Golfweek red sky classic last time out as well as Denver who finished second at the same tournament. The field will also feature schools from the SEC and Big Ten. This weekend also gives the Cowgirls a chance to compete against Mountain West foes Nevada and Colorado State.
Last time out the Cowgirls finished 11h at the Coeur d'Alene Collegiate Invitational recording a three-round team score of under 900 for the first time since he 2019 season.
Meghan Vogt led the Cowgirls to the strong finish as she finished tied for 21
st to earn her second top 25 finish of the season. The Cowgirl lineup will be rounded out by
Kyla Wilde, Samantha hui,
Jessica Zapf and
Morgan Ryan.
Four individuals will also compete for Wyoming as
Riley McDole and
Rachel Stoinski will play in their first tournament of the season joining
Michelle Nguyen and
Cristiana Ciasca.
