Highlands Ranch, Colo. (Oct. 10, 2021) – The University of Wyoming Women's golf team wrapped up play at the Ron Moore Invitational on Sunday highlighted by an excellent showing from Freshman Meghan Vogt who finished tied for 13th amongst a highly competitive field.

"Meghan had a fantastic tournament and finish ina nationally ranked field. I am very excited for her future as a Cowgirl." Head Women's Golf Coach Josey Stender said "As a team we just put a little to much pressure on scoring well so we lost our rhythm we had the last two days. We will have a good week of preparation for another solid event at CSU." 
 
After scoring par in the first two rounds, Vogt capped off her incredible weekend by shooting a 71 (-1) in the final round recording a total score of 215 (-1) through the three-round tournament. Vogt finished tied for 13^thamongst a field of nationally ranked competitors and posted her third straight top 25 finish as well as the best finish of her career so far. Through three tournaments Vogt has been in incredible form and has yet to place lower than 21^st at a tournament.  
 
Samantha Hui was the second-best finisher for the Cowgirls placing tied for 55^th while Jessica Zapf and Morgan Ryan both finished tied for 69^th. Kyla Wilde rounded out the Cowgirl lineup finishing tied for 73^rd.
 
As a team, the Cowgirls finished 13^th with a score of 897 (+33) while Cal Poly won the tournament with a three-round team score of 849 (-15).
 
For the Cowgirls playing as individuals, Cristiana Ciasca led the way finishing 77^th while Rachel Stoinski came in tied for 82^nd. Michelle Nguyen and Riley McDole both finished the tournament tied for 85^th.

Up next the Cowgirls will compete CSU Colonel Wollenberg Ram Classic Oct. 18-19.
