LARAMIE, Wyo. (March 8, 2019) – The Wyoming Cowgirl golf team heads to St. George, Utah, next week to compete at the BYU at Entrada Classic. The two-day tournament tees off on Monday.

• Sophomore
Erin Sargent produced the then-best finish of her young career last season at the BYU at Entrada Classic. Sargent shot a final-round 72 (E) to finish in fourth place with a 215 (-1). It was the second top-five finish of her career and also the best three-round total she had recorded while wearing the Brown and Gold.
• Consistent play as a team gave UW the sixth-best round to close the tournament. Wyoming shot a 298 (+10) and finished the event with a 917 (+53) for tenth in the 14-team field. Host BYU won the tournament with an 864 (E), outlasting Kent State, which shot an 866 (+2).
• Senior
Gabrielle Gibson was the next best finisher for Wyoming and more like her usual self with three birdies during the final round. She closed with her best round of the tournament. Gibson shot a 75 (+3) during the last round and totaled a three-round 231 (+15) to tie for 43rd.

The Wyoming Cowgirl golf team wrapped up play at the Kiawah Island Classic on Tuesday afternoon playing at the par-72, 5,941-yard Oak Point Golf Club.
The Cowgirls finished the week in 26th out of 49 teams, saving the team's lowest score of the tournament for the final day and turning in a 14-over 302 to finish the event at 54-over with a three-round total of 918. Coastal Carolina and North Florida tied atop the team leaderboard at 1-over.
Wyoming junior
Erin Sargent finished as the low Cowgirl for the tournament, tying for 65th with a 9-over 225 (73-75-77). Sargent started Tuesday's round strong, getting to the turn at even par, but hit a couple of speedbumps down the stretch to finish with her 77.
