KIAWAH ISLAND, S.C. – The Wyoming Cowgirl golf team wrapped up play at the Kiawah Island Classic on Tuesday afternoon playing at the par-72, 5,941-yard Oak Point Golf Club.
Â
The Cowgirls finished the week in 26th out of 49 teams, saving the team's lowest score of the tournament for the final day and turning in a 14-over 302 to finish the event at 54-over with a three-round total of 918. Coastal Carolina and North Florida tied atop the team leaderboard at 1-over.
Â
"It was great to see improvement today on the tougher course of the two," head coach
Josey Stender said. "Megan (Knadler) played great and it was good to see Sam (Hui) and Caitlyn (Skavdahl) improve. We almost had the first flight won today but we lost a few shots at the end. This was another great learning experience for us and now we will prepare for BYU which we are very familiar."
