TEMPE, Ariz. – Wyoming men's golf finished in 12th place after playing the final round of the ASU Thunderbird Invitational on Sunday at Karsten Golf Course. The Pokes recorded a final round of 297 (+13) for a total of 870 (+18) in their last tournament of the 2017-18 regular season.
Seniors
Drew McCullough and
Glenn Workman guided UW on Sunday with rounds of 70 (-1), each. Workman recorded a team-high six birdies while McCullough scored over par on a team-low three holes. McCullough finished the tournament even par to tie for 27th. Workman tied for 41st overall at +4.
Senior
Arron Lickteig carded a 78 (+7) to drop back to a tie for 46th at +6 for the tournament. Senior
Quintin Pope scored a 79 (+9) for Wyoming's last counted score. Pope finished 83rd at +20. Junior
John Murdock struggled with only one birdie in his final round to shoot an 81 (+10) and tie for 58th at +10 for the weekend.
The Cowboys will now head to Bremerton, Wash., for the 2018 Mountain West Championships running April 20-22. The three rounds will be played at Gold Mountain Golf Club. A preview of the weekend will be available Wednesday at GoWyo.com.
