BRADENTON, Fla. – Wyoming women's golf freshman
Samantha Hui carded a new career low round on the team's final day at the Pat Bradley Invitational, held at the par-72 Lakewood Ranch Golf & Country Club. As a team, the Cowgirls finished 13
th on the team leaderboard.
"I'm very proud of Sam and her career low round today," head coach
Josey Stender said. "She had great course management all week and really just had fun competing."
"As a team, we showed a lot of improvement—both individually and as a team. I know we are all looking forward to a productive offseason on the course and in the classroom."
Wyoming tallied its lowest team round of the week on Tuesday, turning in an 8-over 296 to wrap up the event with a 905. UTEP finished as the team champion with an 862.
Hui carded a 1-under 71 on Tuesday to best her previous career low score of 75. The freshman remained consistent throughout the day, dropping in a pair of birdies to only one bogey. Hui finished the weekend tied for 33
rd at 7-over (77-75-71).
Cowgirl junior
Erin Sargent also tied for 33
rd after turning in a 4-over 76 in her third round. Sargent finished the week with a 7-over 223 (70-77-76).
Senior
Megan Knadler fired her lowest round of the week on Tuesday, carding a 1-over 73 to wrap up her tournament. Knadler wrapped play for the event at 14-over (80-77-73) in a tie for 55
th.
Wyoming senior
Sarah Hankins turned in a 4-over 76 for the second-straight day to finish her week at 16-over (80-76-76) in a tie for 63
rd. Redshirt sophomore
Caitlyn Skavdahl also tied for 63
rd with a 78 in her final round of the tournament to finish at 232 (77-77-78).
With their fall season in the books, the Cowgirls will take a couple of months off from competition before returning on Feb. 11-12 for the Battle at the Rock in Riverside, Calif.
