FORT COLLINS, Colo. (Sept. 18, 2017) – The Wyoming women's golf team continued play Monday at the Colonel Wollenberg Ptarmigan Ram Classic. Senior Gabrielle Gibson climbed seven spots to lead the Brown and Gold during the second round, while UW shot a 300 (+12) and slid to tenth place with a 591 (+15). Wyoming is just five shots from fifth place with the tournament set to conclude at the Ptarmigan Country Club tomorrow morning at 9 a.m. MT.

"The course played harder today," Cowgirl head coach Josey Stender said. "We had a difficult time with the hole locations, but we certainly didn't play poorly. It really is a difference of getting a couple more putts to drop. I think we are still in a good spot as we are right in the mix with a few other teams. Gabrielle (Gibson) is playing confident after setting a high standard for herself. I'm proud of how she has prepared herself and remains consistent throughout play."

Gibson led the team in scoring in the second round with a 71 (-1). She is tied ninth and ended Monday's round with a two-day total 144 (+1). Gibson had five birdies on the day with two bogeys and a double bogey. Junior Sarah Hankins finished with a 75 (+3) on Monday. Hankins had three birdies, six bogeys and is holding strong tied for 18th, while sophomore Erin Sargent is 44th at 150 (+6). Sargent had a single birdie and shot a 77 (+5) during the second round.

Junior Megan Knadler also had a 77 (+5) on Monday and is one shot behind Sargent with a two-round total 151 (+7). Redshirt Freshman Caitlyn Skavdahl recorded an 80 (+8) during the second round. Tied for 62nd, Skavdahl has a total 154 (+10).

Playing as individuals, freshman Jordan Remley fired a 75 (+3) on Monday, while redshirt sophomore Kaylee Knadler posted a 78 (+6) during round two. Knadler is tied 47th with a 151 (+7), with Remley holding a share of 62nd-place for the Brown and Gold.

San Jose State is leading the 15 teams with a 575 (-1) heading into the final round. Suthavee Chanachai of New Mexico State moved four spots to hold the top spot in the player's standings. She has a 133 (-11) after two rounds.
