"All in all, I thought it was a pretty good weekend and we showed a lot of improvement," UW head coach Tom Johnson said. "We had great performances in the women's mile race. Eric Oleson had a fantastic day. Kelly Sheldon and Abby Sullivan were terrific in the 200 backstroke final. Kyle White keeps improving and had a very nice swim in the 100 freestyle. Our divers were great once again."

Freshman Daniela Luna Rocha kicked off the Cowgirls' evening with a second-place finish in the mile race, clocking in at 16:48.78, the third-best time in Wyoming history. Sullivan and Sheldon placed sixth and seventh in the 200 backstroke, with times of 1:58.94 and 2:00.29, respectively. Junior Maria Harutjunjan earned second in the 200 breaststroke with a time of 2:11.85, more than three seconds faster than her qualifying time. Freshman Karla Contreras placed third in her first platform dive event as a Cowgirl with a score of 238.65.

Oleson began the day for the Cowboys, placing fourth in the men's mile race in 15:42.75. Senior Gabe Rooker and sophomore Liam Holt logged times of 1:57.45 and 1:58.6 in the 200 breaststroke for third and fourth place finishes. Jacob Porter logged a personal-best time of 1:48.48 in the 200 butterfly to finish sixth.
