2024-25 (Redshirt-Senior): Willochell started at 149 pounds, compiling a 17-12 record, which included a 4-10 mark against ranked foes. He qualified for the NCAA Championships, earning the No. 30 seed and went 0-2. Willochell placed eighth at the Big 12 Tournament after entering with the No. 4 seed. He went 11-5 in duals and 5-4 in regular-season tournaments. Willochell was a very offensively-minded wrestler, scoring double figures in 10 bouts.

2023-24 (Redshirt-Junior): Willochell amassed a record of 20-12, which included a 4-9 mark against ranked wrestlers. He finished the season wrestling very strong, as three of his four ranked wins occurred during the postseason. As the No. 22 seed, Willochell upset the No. 11 seed (Rider’s Quinn Kinner) in the opening round of the NCAA Championships and knocked off the No. 12 seed (Maryland’s Ethen Miller) in the consolation bracket. As the No. 7 seed at the Big 12 Tournament, he knocked off the No. 2 seed (Oklahoma’s Willie McDougald) in the quarterfinals en route to a fourth-place finish. Willochell’s first ranked win as a Cowboy occurred against Oregon State’s Nash Singleton in the final dual of the year. He racked up 41 takedowns, which was tied for second on the team. Eleven of Willochell’s 20 victories were bonus-point wins. He was second on the squad with six falls. Willochell went 8-5 in duals, 7-5 at 149 and 1-0 at 141. He added a 5-4 postseason record and was 10-3 in regular-season tournaments.   

Before Wyoming: Willochell spent three seasons at Edinboro, having a breakout season in 2021-22, going 21-10 and qualifying for his first career NCAA Championships. He finished third at the 2022 MAC Tournament and fifth at the 2021 MAC Tournament.

High School: Willochell went to high school at Greater Latrobe where he was a three-time Pennsylvania state qualifier, including finishing third at the 2020 PIAA State Championships.

Personal: Willochell earned his bachelor's degree in sociology and is pursuing a master’s degree.
