Junior (Fall 2021)
Jones led the team and was seventh in the Mountain West with 359 digs for a 3.26 dig per set average. Jones finished third in the league in conference-only matches averaging 3.88 digs per set. Had a team-best 31 service aces on the year and also had 81 assists. Jones notched double-digit digs in 19 matches, including the last 15 of the season. Jones had three matches where she tallied 20-plus digs, including a career-high 22, twice. Jones had nine matches where she recorded two-or-more aces and had five-plus assists in six contests.

Appeared in all 14 matches and 51 sets for the Brown and Gold in the spring of 2021. Second on the team with 146 digs and averaging 2.86 per set. Third on the squad with 23 assists and tallied six service aces. Had six matches with double-digit digs, including a career-best 24 in the March 12 match at Fresno State. Named the Mountain West’s Defensive Player of the Week March 15.

High School
Erika Jones comes to Wyoming from Fort Collins High School where she was a standout defensive specialist all four years of her high school career • A four-year letterwinner, Jones was named to the All-Conference first team in 2018 after earning honorable mention in 2016 and 2017 • She led her team to a co-conference championship in 2017 on the way to a fifth-place finish at the Colorado State Volleyball Championships later that season • Serving as a team captain as a junior and senior, she was named to the Regis Jam All-Tournament team in 2018 • Was a four-year academic letterwinner • Was named to the CHSAA Academic All-State First Team in 2017 and 2018 and has been a member of the National Honor Society since fall of 2017 • Has been involved in a number of community service activities including volunteering at Respite Care, Inc., Special Olympics and the R-Word Campaign.

Jones was born April 27, 2001 in Fort Collins, Colo. • Her parents are Gordon and Michelle Jones • Also enjoys hiking, spending time in the mountains, spending time with family and playing with her dog • Plans to major in Speech Language and Hearing Sciences at UW.
