Biography

Junior (2018) | Match-By-Match Statistics
Fields turned in another fantastic season for her junior campaign in 2018 • She appeared in 29 matches for the Cowgirls, totaling 111 sets • Finished the season with a team-leading 488 digs on a 4.40 digs per set average, which ranked third in the MW • Her 488 digs in 2018 rank fourth in the program single-season record book • Also added 93 assists on a 0.84 assists per set average, both being career highs • Set a new career high in digs with 31 against UNLV • Added seven assists in the win over No. 15 Colorado for a new career high • Recorded 20 or more digs in 10 matches and reached double-figure digs in 24 matches • She heads into her senior season with 1,212 career digs, ranking third in school history • Named to the Academic All-MW Team.


Sophomore (2017) | Match-By-Match Statistics

Madi Fields followed her rookie campaign with a stellar season in 2017 • She played in all 31 matches and 115 sets • Fields led the team with 427 (3.71 dps) during the year • It not only led UW, but was ninth-best in the MW • Her 427 digs in 2017 tied for the fifth-best in a single season for Wyoming • She also recorded 69 assists (0.60 aps), and was third on the team with 22 service aces (0.19) • In the 31 matches she played in, she posted double-figure digs in 23 of them • Fields recorded a career-best 30 against Oral Roberts (9/16/17) • She hits the halfway point in her collegiate career with 724 total digs for the Brown and Gold.

Freshman (2016) | Match-By-Match Statistics 
Fields had an outstanding rookie season for Wyoming • She was twice selected as the MW’s Defensive Player of the Week, and became the first freshman from UW to earn the award since Lauren Scott in 2004 • Fields registered a team-high 13 digs against CSU (10/25/16) before recording a match-best 18 in a 3-1 win of Utah State (10/27/16) to give her the first player of the week award on Oct. 31 • Her second weekly award came after a 20-dig performance against New Mexico (11/3/16) in addition to seven versus UNLV (11/5/16) • Fields finished eighth in the MW in digs (3.16 dps) • She recorded her career-high of 23 at San Diego State (11/12/16) • She registered double-figure digs in 14 matches during the season, and led the team in 14 matches in total • For the year, Fields saw action in 26 matches • She led the team with 297 digs (3.16 dps) and was second with 23 service aces • An Academic All-MW selection.
