Before UW
Sandy, who went to Legend High School and is from Littleton, Colorado, spent her first two collegiate seasons at Nevada. Sandy tallied 280 kills and 215 total blocks while with the Wolf Pack. Sandy was already 10th all-time in program history in career blocks while her 132 in 2023 are the seventh-most all-time in a single season at Nevada. This past season, Sandy averaged 1.33 kills per set and 1.22 blocks per. Sandy is married to current Cowboy football student-athlete, Luke Sandy.
