Senior (2018) | Match-By-Match Statistics
Cori Aafedt wrapped up her stellar Wyoming career with an impressive season in 2018 • Started in all but three of the Cowgirls’ 31 matches and played in a career high 119 sets as a senior • Recorded 730 assists on the season to lead the team, and also set a new career high for assists in a season • Also added seven kills for a new career high • Set a new career high for digs in a season with 198 • Recorded three double-doubles in 2018 to lead the Cowgirls • Set a new career high in assists with 41 against Iowa • Recorded an astounding six service aces in the Cowgirls’ three-set win over Binghamton—just one short of the program record for service aces in a three-set match • Finishes her career in the 1,000 assist club with 1,315 for her career • Named to the Academic All-MW Team.

Cori Aafedt played in 28 matches this season, and 82 total sets • She completed her redshirt sophomore season second on the team with 118 assists (1.44 aps) • She also posted 118 digs (1.44 dps) and nine service aces (0.11 saps) • Aafedt recorded double-figure assists three times in 2017 • Her season-high of 19 came against both No. 8 Washington (9/9) and Tulsa (9/16) • She had at least ten digs in one match twice this season, with a season-best of 11 at Air Force (9/28).

Cori Aafedt played in 27 matches on the year, seeing action in 103 sets • Made her collegiate debut against Gonzaga (9/4) • Recorded her first double-double against Utah (9/5) with 21 assists and a career-high 17 digs, and second against Marquette (9/11) with 24 assists and 10 digs • Made her MW debut against Boise State (9/24), posting four digs and 16 assists • Had a career-high 33 assists at Utah State (10/22) • Recorded double-figure assists in the last ten matches of the season • In six of the those matches, Aafedt had at least 20 assists • Dished out 22 at both New Mexico (11/5) and at Air Force (11/7) • Had 25 assists against San Jose State (11/14), and 23 against Border War rival Colorado State (11/24) • Totaled 142 digs, 16 aces and was second on the team with 467 assists (4.53 aps).

High School:
A four-time letterwinner during her career in volleyball • A three-time First Team All-Patriot League selection and Honorable Mention All-Patriot League as a freshman • The previous two seasons, Aafedt received All-State honors while being named a Team Captain and a participant in the CHSCA and CCGS All-State games • In 2012, she was selected the Weld Country Setter of the Year • Helped her team to four regional championships while winning Colorado 3A State Championship in 2012 • Her team finished as the runner-up in 2014 and third both in 2011 and 2013 • Was coached in high school by her mother, Rene • Also was a three-time All-Conference selection in basketball • An excellent student, she was a member of the National Society of High School Scholars, Academic All-State, Superintendent Award honoree and the Student Body President.

Majoring in mechanical engineering • Born Dec. 6, 1996 in Greeley, Colo. • Is the cousin of former Cowgirl Courtney Chacon • Has one sister, Beth • Cori Danielle Aafedt is the daughter of Dan and Rene Aafedt.
