Biography

2023-24 (Graduate): Tomine Bjerkelo came to Wyoming as a graduate transfer in the summer of 2023 from Colorado State.  She played in all four tournaments for the Wyoming Cowgirls during the 2023 fall season.  Her best finish was a ninth-place showing at the Payne Stewart Memorial, where she shot a 2017 (+1).  Her ninth-place finish was the best for the Cowgirls and led Wyoming to an eighth-place finish out of 17 teams.  Her ninth-place finish was also the best by any Cowgirl during the 2023 fall season.  She posted a 76.25 stroke average in the fall season.
 
Prior to Wyoming:  Bjerkelo spent the last prior four seasons as a member of the women’s golf team at Colorado State.  While at CSU, Bjerkelo recorded a Top 10 finish at the 2019 Ron Moore Intercollegiate where she finished eighth with a score of 152 (+8).  She posted a career best stroke average of 77.25 through 20 rounds of play during the 2019-20 season.  Bjerkelo had a stroke of average of 79.39 through 18 rounds of play during the 2020-21 season.  In her lone appearance of the 2022-23 campaign, she finished tied for 27th at the Colonel Wollenberg Ptarmigan Ram Classic, capping off her tournament with a third-round score of 70 (-2).
 
High School:  Bjerkelo prepped at Wang Toppidrett Stavanger in Sandnes, Norway, where she had numerous impressive results.  She won silver in the Norwegian Junior Team Championship and bronze in the Norwegian Team Championship.  Bjerkelo captured first place in the Norges Cup, placed fifth in the Order of Merit Norge Cup, finished sixth in the Norwegian Championship and tied for seventh in the Norwegian Junior Championship.
 
Personal: Bjerkelo completed her bachelor’s degree in human development and family studies at Colorado State in May of 2023.
