Biography

2024: McMullen had an elite year, setting three personal bests. She took first in both the 55 meters and long jump at the Power Meet and followed it up with a personal-best time in the 60 meters at the Bobcat Challenge with a time of 7.81. She also set a personal best in the long jump with her mark of 20' 7 3/4". At the MW Indoor Championships, McMullen finished seventh in the long jump. In the outdoor season, Sadie finished Top-2 three times in the long jump and took third in the 4x100-meter relay with a time of 46.99. At the MW Outdoor Championships, she took seventh in the 4x100-meter relay and 15th in the long jump. Her top mark of the outdoor season of 20' 3 3/4' earned her a spot at the NCAA West regional where she finished 43rd.

2021-22
Indoor Track & Field: Had an impressive season competing in the long jump capping of the campaign with a sixth-place finish at the Mountain West Championships… Posted her best mark of the season at the Power Meet where she went 19-9.75 earning a second-place finish and moving into fifth all-time in program history with the mark… Also finished second in the long jump at the Invite at the peak with a leap of 19-4.75… Competed in the 60M as well posting a season best time of 7.99.  

2020-21
Indoor Track & Field: Was Wyoming’s leading long jumper during the season, finishing in the top five at every meet… Started the season with a strong showing at the Air Force invitational placing fourth with a jump of 18-8.5… Finished second in the long jump at the power meet… Capped of the season with a fifth-place finish at the Championships at the Peak recording a season best mark of 19-0.75. 
Outdoor Track and Field: Had an outstanding first season culminated by qualifying for the NCAA West Preliminaries as a true freshman… Recorded a leap of 20-6.25 in the long jump at the Doug Max Invitational to move into third all-time at UW… Placed 38th at the NCAA West Prelims with a best jump of 19-5.25… Earned a second-place finish at the Spank Blasing invite with a leap of 19-7… Took third in the long jump at the West Coast Relays. 


High School: Earned letters in track & field as a freshman, sophomore and junior… Guided her team to league and state championships as a junior… was the league and state champion in the long jump with a league-record mark… Part of the 4x200m relay team that set a state record to earn a state championship… Earned first-team All-State honors… As a sophomore, was the league champion in the 100m dash while guiding her team to league and state titles… Earned all-conference honors… As a freshman, was the long jump league champion with a then-league and school record mark… Was the league champion in the 4x200m relay and the 4x100m relay… Was all-conference in the long jump, 4x200m relay and 4x100m relay… Was a 2019 National Indoors qualifier and ranked No. 9 nationally in the long jump in 2019.
 
Personal: Daughter of Todd and Wendy McMullen… Has one sibling… Father played football at Bethany College… Plans on majoring in kinesiology.

Sadie McMullen holds the #2 and #4 marks in the Indoor and Outdoor Long Jump with a mark of 20’7.75 and 20’6.26 . Set in 2024 at the Don Kirby Elite Invitational and 2021 at the Doug Max Invitational.
