2024: He earned Second Team All-America honors in the long jump. Mersal went 24-5.5 to take 11th at the NCAA Championships. Mersal broke the eight-meter mark for the first time in his career as he set the Mountain West and Wyoming school record. Mersal went to Albuquerque and the Mountain West Championships and earned an individual title.

2022-23 
2023 Mountain West Indoor Track and Field Championship

2021-22
Indoor Track & Field: Competed in the long jump twice during the season… Won the Mountain West title in impressive fashion going 23-11.5 to capture the title. 

Outdoor Track & Field: Had a historic season in the long jump highlighted by his first career trip to the NCAA Championships where he earned Second-Team All-American honors… Going up against the top 24 jumpers in the nation, he finished 16^th at the NCAA Championships posting a mark of 24-6.5… Punched his ticket to the NCAA Championships with a record breaking performance at the NCAA West Prelims setting a new school record of 25-10 and finishing as the runner-up in the west… Won the Mountain West long jump title in impressive fashion going 25-2 finishing as the only athlete in the field to break 25 feet… Finished second amongst a field of 25 athletes at the Fresno State Invitational with a leap of 25-6.25… Opened that season with a win in the long jump at the Spank Blasing Invite. 


2020-21
Indoor Track & Field: Competed at one meet during the season… Finished fourth in the Long Jump at the Air Force Invitational with a career best leap of 23-9.

Outdoor Track and Field: Had a standout first season in the Brown and Gold highlighted by qualifying for the NCAA West Prelims… Earned a second place finish at the MW Championships in the long jump with a leap of 23-3.25… Finished 20^th at the NCAA West Prelims with a personal best mark of 24-9.75, which moved him to seventh on the UW all time top 10 event list… Won the long jump at the Spank Basing Invite with a jump of 24-9.25.  

High School: Was the under-18 champion in the long jump at the National Egyptian Championships… Finished second in the long jump at the under-18 Italian National Championships… Was the junior runner-up in the long jump at the Italian Outdoor Championships and the junior third-place finisher in the long jump at the Italian Indoor Championships.
 
Personal: Son of Hatem Mersal and Francesca D’andrea… Has one sibling… Plans on majoring in kinesiology.

Kareem Mersal holds the school record for Indoor and Outdoor Long Jump with a mark of 26’3.75 (indoor) and 25’8.25. Set in 2024 at the Air Force Lindeman Classic and 2023 Mountain West Outdoor Track and Field Championship.
