Before Wyoming: Gerrits, a 6-2, 190-poung guard is a native of Olympia, Wash. He has appeared in 63 games over the last two seasons at Washington State. In just under 10 minutes a game, Gerrits has averaged 1.7 points per game and has recorded 31 steals. This past season, he averaged 1.8 points per game and shot nearly 38 percent from behind the arc.    He also added 1.1 rebounds per game and recorded 27 assists. He scored a season-high 11 points against Portland going 4-of-5 from the field.

He is a graduate of Olympia High School and led his team to the state championship game. He was an All-State selection.
