Before Wyoming: Curtis, a 6-8, 230-pound forward is a native St. Louis, Park, Minn. Curtis spent last season at North Dakota playing in three games with one start, as he missed the rest of the season with an injury. He scored 22 points against Mayville State going 10-of-12 from the field with six rebounds and five blocks. He played with his twin brother, Marley at North Dakota.
 
As a senior at St. Louis Park High School, Curtis led his team in points per game and rebounds with 29.6 points and 9.8 rebounds per game. He was a First Team All-Metro West selection.
