Before UW: Dontae Burch is ranked by On3.com as a three-star recruit. His senior season, he accounted for 1,683 yards, averaged 140.25 yards per game, averaged 8.23 yards per carry and scored 24 total touchdowns without fumbling once. He was also an outstanding receiver out of the backfield. He helped lead Christ Preparatory Academy to a 9-3 record and the 2023 National Home School Football Association National Tournament. Christ Preparatory entered the tournament as the No. 2 seed in Division I. They advanced to the National Championship Game in Panama City Beach, Fla., by defeating No. 3 seed Oklahoma City in the semifinals. The Patriots finished as the national runner-up after losing to Tomball Christian of Tomball, Texas in the Championship Game. Burch was named an NHFA All-Star his senior season.
