High School: A graduate of Central High School in Cheyenne, Wyo., Knueppel ran cross country and track earning the title of team captain, was a six-time All-State honoree, won the 1600m and 800m, state runner-up in the 3200m and won a cross country team championships.

Personal: Son of Shannon and Doug Knueppel, brother of Ashton. Chose Wyoming for the outstanding coaches, team culture and great facilities. Plans to graduate in 2026 with a degree in economics and international studies.
