LARAMIE, Wyo. (Feb. 9, 2026) – The Wyoming Cowgirls hit the road for the second consecutive game with a Wednesday trip to Sin City to face UNLV at 7:30 p.m., Mountain Time. It will be the second meeting this season with the Lady Rebels.
Wednesday's game will be broadcast live on the Mountain West Network and can be heard across the Cowgirl Radio Network with David Settle on the call.
ABOUT THE COWGIRLS
Wyoming is coming off a road loss in its last time out, dropping the first round of the Border War with Colorado State. Jane Rumpf led the Cowgirls with 16 points in the loss on 5-of-9 shooting from the field and hitting 4-for-6 from 3-point range. Rumpf, who along with Heidur Karlsdottir, blocked two shots each in the contest, continues to lead the Mountain West in league play with 1.64 blocks per contest. Karlsdottir is second in the conference averaging 1.36 rejections per during MW-only action.
Malene Pedersen scored 11 in the game and is now up to 43-straight contests scoring in double figures. That continues to be the fourth-longest active streak in Division I. Pedersen is ninth in program history with 1,596 career points, is 10th with 597 career made field goals, 11th with 156 career 3-pointers, 18th with 246 career free throws and is 16th with 294 career assists. Her 124 career games played are tied for 12th all time. Pedersen's 89.1-percent career free-throw percentage is by far the best in program history.
The Cowgirls recorded 13 assists on 19 field goals Saturday and are now assisting on 65.4-percent of their makes in 2025-26. Wyoming is third in the league averaging 13.8 assists per game and have eclipsed 20 assists in a game, four times. Payton Muma leads UW with 2.5 assists per game and is one of four Cowgirls who average at least two assists a contest.
SCOUTING UNLV
The four-time reigning Mountain West regular season champion-UNLV Lady Rebels are once again dynamic this season, averaging over 68 points per game while allowing just 61.3 a contest. UNLV shoots it at a 42.8-percent clip from the floor and 34.2-percent from beyond-the-arc. The Lady Rebels allow just 38.5-percent overall and 31.3-percent from 3-point range. UNLV is a near-plus-five in the rebounding department and average 13.2 assists per game. The Lady Rebels average over 11 offensive rebounds per contest.
The Lady Rebels are led by four big-time scorers, averaging at least 10.3 points per game. Meadow Roland leads the team with 13.2 points per game and 36 blocks while her nine rebounds per game are second on the team. Jasmyn Lott is averaging 13 a game while Shelbee Brown is averaging a double-double as she enters scoring 11.2 per game and leads the way with 10.1 rebounds a contest and also has a team-leading 49 steals. Aaliyah Alexander also averages in double figures and leads the Lady Rebels with 3.3 assists per contest.
SERIES HISTORY AGAINST UNLV
UNLV leads the all-time series 33-29, including winning earlier this season in Laramie. The Cowgirls are in search of their first win in Las Vegas since December of 2020 and have lost four-straight in the series to the Lady Rebels on the road. UW is 8-21 in the series in Las Vegas. Rumpf had a big game against UNLV back in January, scoring 16 points and grabbing 10 rebounds for a double-double. Rumpf also blocked five shots and had four assists in the first meeting.
