COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (Feb. 16, 2026) – For the second time this season, Jane Rumpf has been named the Old Trapper Mountain West Freshman of the Week, announced Monday by the league office. Rumpf was also named the freshman of the week January 26.

This past week, Rumpf averaged 14.5 points and seven rebounds per game on 45.5-percent shooting and going 9-of-18 from 3-point range. In the Cowgirls' win at UNLV, Rumpf poured in a career-high 20 points on 7-of-14 overall from the floor and hit 6-of-11 from 3-point range. Rumpf was also a rebound shy of her third double-double in the victory. Saturday against Boise State, Rumpf hit a trio of triples and had nine points, five rebounds, a block and an assist.

Rumpf becomes the first Cowgirl since Malene Pedersen in 2022-23 to be named the league's freshman of the week multiple times. Rumpf and the rest of the Cowgirls are off this Wednesday and will return to action Saturday at 2 p.m., for this season's second Border War against Colorado State.
