PULLMAN, Washington (9/11/24) – The University of Wyoming men's golf team finished up play at the Palouse Collegiate on Wednesday. The Cowboys, in a tournament they'd never participated in before at the Palouse Ridge Golf Club, were the only squad with three players in the top 10.

That trio was led by the tournament's third-best golfer, Kristof Panke. He carded a final-round 67 (-4) to finish with a three-round score of 199 (-14), which included 18 birdies and one eagle. His score relative to par was tied for the lowest in school history. 

The Pokes finished sixth as a team at 20-under. Utah ran away with the team title at 52-under, while Colorado and Oregon State rounded out the top three at 34- and 28-under, respectively. Utah's Sergio Jiminez won the individual crown at 192 (-21), six shots clear of the field.  

Jaren Calkins finished strong, recording a third-round score of 67 (-4). He finished in a tie for ninth at 204 (-9).

Patrick Azevedo competed as an individual and placed in a tie for ninth, as well. He registered a final-round 66 (-3) to finish at 204 (-7).

Damon Vilkauskas checked in at a tie for 54th. He logged a third-round score of 76 (+5) for a three-round total of 215 (+2).

Brody Leid tied for 59th at 216 (+3). He fired a final-round 72 (+1), closing out a tournament that saw him card the same score each of the three rounds.

Davis Seybert rounded out the Cowboys. He tied for 72nd at 218 (+5) after a final-round 74 (+3).

Wyoming is back in action next week at the Rams Masters Invite. The tournament runs through Sept. 17-18.
