LARAMIE, Wyo. (MARCH 16, 2024) –The Wyoming Cowboy golf team returns to action in another talented field heading to the Arizona Thunderbirds Intercollegiate on Monday and Tuesday at the Tucson country Club in Tucson, Ariz. It is the third to last regular season tournament of the season.
Wyoming was last in action at the R.E.L. Invitational presented by Lamkin Golf Grips at the San Diego Country Club in San Diego, Calif on March 4-5. The Pokes finished 15th with a three-round total of 875 (+11). Wyoming shot a 302 (+14) for the final round.
Patrick Azevedo led the way for the Cowboys finishing at 214 (-2). He shot a 74 (+2) in the final round finishing tied for 23rd. He shot a 69 (-3) for the first round, which marked the lowest first round score of the season for the Brown and Gold.
Jimmy Dales finished at 220 (+4) and added a 75 (+3) for the final round and finished tied for 57th with teammate Jaren Calkins.
UW opened the spring portion of the schedule at the Arizona N.I.T. finishing 14th in one of the toughest events of the college golf season.
